A parade of Center Square residents urged the city's Board of Building, Zoning and Housing Appeals to reject a series of variances needed to turn the former Harmanus Bleecker Library at Washington Avenue and Dove Streets into a restaurant and nightclub.
John Pak and his family, who own the Peking restaurant and other businesses in the county, say they want to put a restaurant similar in atmosphere to a TGI Fridays on the first floor, which also would house a lounge featuring live entertainment.
