CHRYSLER EXECS SAMPLE SCHNITZEL, STUTTGART

STUTTGART, Germany - Daimler-Benz Chairman Juergen Schrempp led Chrysler Corp.'s top executives through the door of the Bierhaus West on June 25.

Beer was OK, because all the driving had been finished for the two-day trip. Dinner at the traditional beer house was schnitzel and "Maultaschen," a specialty of the Swabia region that surrounds the Daimler-Benz headquarters. The ravioli-like pastry filled with beef and pork was served with hot broth and smothered with sauteed onions.

Chrysler Chairman Robert Eaton and his retinue were getting a taste of life in Germany, as well as the flavor of Daimler-Benz.
